Capturing 3D Data

Scaniverse app required

To capture 3D data, use the high-precision 3D scanning app Scaniverse. Please install it in advance.

1. Scanning with Scaniverse

STEP 1

Start scanning

Open the app and tap the [Add button] at the bottom of the screen to start a new scan.

STEP 2

Select Mesh mode

Select [Mesh] from the scan mode options.

STEP 3

Select the size

Choose [Large object/area] to match the size of your subject.

STEP 4

Capture

Walk slowly around the subject while scanning. Make sure there are no red areas remaining.

STEP 5

Start processing

When you finish scanning, press the stop button, select [Area], and begin the data creation process (processing).

STEP 6

Save

Once processing is complete, tap [Save].

2. Exporting in GLB Format

STEP 1

Open the share menu

On the model screen, tap [Share].

STEP 2

Export

Select [Export Model].

STEP 3

Select the format

Select [GLB] from the available file formats. ※ WheeLog! supports GLB format only.

STEP 4

Save to files

Tap [Save to Files] and save it to an easy-to-find location on your device.

Registering Facility Data

STEP 1

Go to 3D registration

Open the spot details in the WheeLog! app and tap [3D Registration].

STEP 2

Add a new file

When the management screen appears, tap [+ New File].

STEP 3

Start registration

Tap the [Register] button.

STEP 4

Select the file

Select the GLB file you saved earlier.

STEP 5

Preview settings

Tap [Use Preview] to set a thumbnail for the list view. You're done when the image appears!

Registering Wheelchair Data

STEP 1

Add 3D data

Select [Add 3D Data] from the menu on your profile screen.

STEP 2

Start registration

Tap the [Register] button.

STEP 3

Select the file

Select the GLB file you saved.

STEP 4

Done

Set the thumbnail with [Use Preview] and you're done.
